BE PART OF THE TWEE-m

TWEE're on the lookout for ...

Studio Internship
Compensation: College Credit and a travel stipend of $20/day
Job Type: Part-time with guidelines set by the individual college internship programs to ensure appropriate credit is earned.

Responsibilities: Each internship is uniquely framed around a candidates desired learning outcome.  We believe the best way to experience TWEE is through an eight-week internship rotation with two weeks spent (typically two days a week) in each department: Sales & Marketing, Shipping, Assembly, Production.  At the completion of the program, interns have an understanding of a small business who's mission is based on making things locally and by hand

Requirements: The individual must be a natural problem solver, self-motivated and comfortable working on deadlines independently and with others. The candidate must have strong communication skills, understand what it means to work in a business and not afraid to ask questions.  Please be creative, savvy and ready to learn!

Physical Requirements: MUST be able to lift 50lbs. Also must be able to work standing for five hours at a time. This is a workplace with real-life rainbows and sparkles, but it is also a very messy and physically taxing job.

To Apply: Please send a cover letter and resume to hello@tweemade.com.

Maker
Compensation: $14/hr
Job Type: Part-time - 20 hrs week
Shifts are scheduled Monday to Friday either 8-1pm or 1-6pm.

Responsibilities: The Maker would be responsible for the creation of a specific amount of chalk to be poured, popped, and/or decorated on a daily basis.  Our method for production is highly repetitive work and requires a high level of attention to detail.  Experience in food service (as line cooks, dishwashers, baristas) tends to translate well as well as experience with printmaking, papermaking, or book arts.  Any knowledge of mold making, pouring and/or similar practices would be helpful, although not necessary.  Maintaining a clean studio space is a shared responsibility and encompasses chores such as the disposal of leftover chalk slurry, scraping tables, moving bags of plaster, five gallon buckets, taking the (daily) trash out, and cleaning your own tools.

Requirements: This is a very creative workspace where we learn something new every day. Days at TWEE are sometimes all-hands-on-deck, and everyone chips in to help with a specific project, but most days, the maker will be required to work unsupervised. Because of this, the individual in this position must be self-motivated and be able to anticipate the next job that needs to be done. The candidate must have extreme attention to detail and be well organized. They must also be a QUICK learner and worker.

Physical Requirements: MUST be able to lift 50lbs. Also must be able to work standing for five hours at a time. This is a workplace with real-life rainbows and sparkles, but it is also a very messy and physically taxing job.

To Apply: Please send a cover letter and resume to makery@tweemade.com.
